NEW...
Eco Guardians - The National Theatre for Children will be visiting on March 8th at 8:30. Please plan for about a 45 min. performance. The NTC website has some great teaching tools for you to access should you build in some time to prep the students for the show.
Welcome, Stephanie Long! - Stephanie will be joining the 4K team for a few weeks. We wish Mary McDaniel well as she recovers from a medical procedure. We will miss you, Mary!
Emergency Plans - Thank you for your cooperation with the Hold last week. I encourage all to keep your learning space doors locked (can be open, but locked) for ease of moving into a Hold should we need to. ALL Holds mean no one should be present in the hallway. I do ask that Spec. Ed. and EAs with radios take a minute to do a quick sweep of halls and bathrooms. There is not a defined difference that will be announced, behavior vs. medical. We will treat a Hold as a Hold regardless of the need being met. Again, if there are emergent situations in your room you feel needs immediate support, then you can reach out to the office and we will determine how best to support the need.
5K Teddy Bear Clinic - March 1st!! - KHS students WILL be visiting for a fun morning this Friday. The HOSA - Future Health Professionals group would like to help students become more familiar and comfortable with medical checkups, in hopes to minimize anxiety when going to a doctor visit. In small groups, students will take their stuffed animals through a few stations to create ID badges, take blood pressure and temp., and complete other simple medical procedures with a children's play set. Please review the schedule and let us know asap if there needs to be an adjustment.
Thank you, Beth & Jean, for creating a the schedule:
