Zoo Mobile - The PAC has sponsored another Zoo visit. There will be 4 sessions to allow for smaller groups in the gym. This gives students a better view of the animals. Last year...they only touched one of the animals in the end. Thank you for preparing the students for only looking with eyes until the special part at the end. Please let me know if you see issues with the proposed schedule (noted above and in your google calendar).
Buddy Classroom Visits - Please take time this month to connect with your buddy classroom. Consider assigning partners and heading outside to show courage by playing with a new friend. 🌞
Or consider a class meeting discussion with some guiding questions. Examples:
- What does courage mean to you?
- Can you share a time when you saw someone showing courage?
- How can we show courage at school, or at home?
- How do you think you can help someone else who is feeling scared or nervous?
Solar Eclipse - Due to the projected timing of the eclipse, I have made an adjustment to the 5K recess time - 12:45-1:05. Why the change? We do not have the large number of protective glasses to allow all students to have a safe viewing experience. Please consider prepping students for the reason for the change. Here is a Mystery Science Video about the Eclipse. You will need to log into your account and... beware... this one I found has a connection to a 'no school day', but we get to be here! 😎
